Dr James Otto, PhD is an American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist. 

In addition, he holds a professional registration with the Registration Council for Clinical Physiologists (RCCP). Since 2017 he has worked as the Lead Clinical Physiologist within the Perioperative Medicine Department at University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He has a keen interest in the applications of Cardiopulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) within Perioperative Medicine.
