Kim is responsible for ensuring the NIHR Southampton Clinical Research Facility (CRF), its staff and the studies run there meet Good Clinical Practice (GCP), appropriate regulatory and local Trust requirements.

Part of the Early Phase Safety Committee, she oversees and maintains the local processes for phase I studies running in the CRF. She previously led the unit through two MHRA Phase I re-accreditation processes, and was part of the team that developed the UKCRF Network Framework for Conducting Highest Risk Phase I and Experimental Medicine Studies within NIHR CRFs and Wider NHS Acute Trusts. She is currently working with the ATIMP committee in streamlining the study set-up process.

Kim was appointed as Co-GCP program lead for Wessex in June 2022.
